After my last school day, I rushed home from work to grab my gear. I was heading out to the mountains that evening for a three day trip to Mt. Tateyama (3015m) and Tsurugi-dake (2999m) in Toyama Prefecture.
Unfortunately, I met with a little misfortune on the first day, a few hours into the hike, my foot had went through a hole in the snow field, and I ended up with a sprained ankle for the rest of the trip. Needless to say, it wasn't the best trip ever, the mountain guide suggested that I sit out of the second day's itinerary to Tsurugi-dake, so I just hung around the campsite... which was fortunate that I did. The weather conditions prevented the rest of the group from reaching the summit, and they returned during a heavy rain shower, all drenched and chilled to the bone. But the last day turned out to be fine, and we had some nice blue skies to see us back to the trail end.
