Trail: Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Historical Trail, Hong Kong Island
Description: The trail traces activites and landmarks in the life of Sun Yat-Sen (1866-1925). Sun is renowned as the revolutionary leader who succeeded in overthrowing the Qing Dynasty and over 2,000 years of Chinese autocracy. He was also the Republic of China's first provisional president in 1912.
Comments: Worth a look, especially the Dr Sun Yat-Sen Museum. After reading about Sun, it makes me think that he was such an incredible guy. Through hardships such as betrayal, exiles, illness, and being shunned for his believes, he just kept on striving forward to do what he thought was right and fulfil his dream. In the end, he didn't see his dreams materialise, he died of lung cancer at the age of 58, but without a doubt his efforts are a significant stepping stone of the growing success that China experiences today.
