Notes: Actually also stopped by Kam Tin 錦田, before passing through Yuen Long to do the heritage trail. It was a little disappointing since most of the structures were closed off until the weekend. Kat Hing Wai 吉慶圍, a walled village, is a far cry from what it used to be. With scaffolding on the outside, and modern housing inside the walls, we decided it wasn't worth going in. The little old Hakka ladies sitting at the entrance, were waiting for visitors to hand them the $3 entrance fee. For a little extra, they will allow photographs to be taken of them wearing their traditional wear.
The highlight of the day, for me anyway, has to be the Tree House in Shui Mei Tsuen, Kam Tin. The ruins of a stone house are almost completely enveloped by a banyan tree... it is an amazing sight, the photo is nothing compared to the real thing.

Hahaha Kamki, is it? Yeah, gosh, even with tons of layers of bug spray, the mosquitoes just kept on coming onto my legs. After the Tree House, my bug-hickied legs have to be the second most memorable view *laugh*
