The recent rainstorm had caused some landslides in some areas, so we didn't follow the planned route, but hiked instead from Tung Chung 東涌 to Mui Wo 梅窩 to Discovery Bay 愉景灣.
Stage 1 of the hike (Tung Chung - Mui Wo) was fairly straightforward, but Stage 2 (Mui Wo - Discovery Bay) was another matter. The latter involves climbing up over a thousand steps, gosh that was some work out, but there were some great views at the top. The pavilion at the top overlooked Peng Chau 坪洲, Disneyland HK, and Hong Kong Island. The route also passed Trappist Haven Monastery.
