Year of the Rat 2008

Ve~~~ry tired and sluggish. I was ill during my Lunar New Year Holiday last year, so I'd missed out on all the new year events. The school's a breeding ground of viruses during this time of year, and I barely managed to escape unscathed. However, this year I got to see the Lunar New Year flower markets ~heh heh heh... although I think it's started to take a toll on the already overworked body defences.

It took me two bus journeys, a ferry ride, and four stations-worth of walk to get me to the market at Victoria Park at Causeway Bay, with stops at an embassy and a tourism board along the way. There were tons of people at the market, with loads of little kids waving around their new purchases of blow-up toys. There were many young people shouting out their wares, and modelling their goods e.g. soft toys of rats, dumplings, eggs, gold poo; different types of head gear...; pinwheels; blow-up toys and more blow-up toys; and of course, flowers and food were on sale too.

Didn't really buy anything, all the stuff on sale were all potential 'space' invaders. Although the bottle of freshly extracted sugar cane juice (green in colour at HK$10 per 400ml bottle) was pretty decent.

Droopy eyelids don't make for very understandable blog content.
