Walk for Millions

Participated in a charity walk today, an event called the "Hong Kong - Shenzhen Western Corridor Walk for Millions" (深港西部通道百萬行). Basically, a new bridge opened up between Hong Kong and China, and this was a "once in a lifetime opportunity" to step foot on this bridge while raising money for charity at the same time. As once opened, this bridge will be for vehicles only.

The day was hot, sunny and humid, not great for a 7km walk on tarmac. Tons of people, and there's nothing like a drink of cold coke to keep sugar levels up, and to keep you cool and hydrated. Most of those people must have had the same thoughts as me because all the drink stalls we stopped by had all run out of chilled Coka Cola, "no coke," the stall holders said, "drink water instead." Gosh it was sweltering, 'it's all for charity, it's all for charity...' I raised about HK$690 (£46) for The Community Chest. It's all for a good cause...

Side Note:
Posts won't be so regular now, cos I'll be going back to work tomorrow, and it's open days galore these couple of weeks.
