A friend, a fellow Tokyo JET, had recently transferred to Hiroshima as her conditions of stay on the islands only allow a maximum of four years. So a visit was in order to see how she was getting on, and over the course of this weekend visit, I enjoyed the local cuisine and learned to appreciate even more, the friendships that I had formed here in Japan.
