Even though it's a popular sport in the UK, I've never been much interested in rugby. And during New Year's week, I went to watch my first ever rugby game at the 50th Japan National University Rugby Championships at the National Stadium between Teikyou and Keio.
I didn't understand the rules nor the rugby jargon, but it was definitely more interesting than watching
a live game of baseball, even when I did understand the rules.

I can understand your preference for Rugby Union over over Baseball, you would probably also enjoy Rugby League as played 'around here and Yorkshire)as there is less 'Kicking Off the Field' to gain progress up the field. However I am still a Soccer Fan although currently unhappy that 'Gunners' have been knocked off the top of the Premier League. Spurs are a bit 'Up & Down' although still in contention for the Champions League.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and trust you are well? One thing tat pleases me is that you now longer seen to be troubled by @Unreasonable Collegues,
Hi Ron,
I grew up with football since my dad's into it, but men's tennis has always been more interesting for me to watch.
Yes, I'm doing well thanks. A change of job in the previous summer made a whole lot of difference even if my kids are now replaced with some right brats. And well, I'd like to think I've grown up a little, learnt to accept (i.e. not bother with) certain things in life; grew a thicker skin; learnt to let go of things that need letting go; learnt to look inwards and outwards better, that sort of thing.
But my successors in my previous school are having a hard time. The current one is the most positive self-confident person that I have ever met, and he's feeling it. There's a negative atmosphere in that school, even if the students are great, I'm glad I left it behind.
I received a package from my parents with a jam thermometer inside (I'm a complete amateur, so I need one), so once I get my hands on some decent fruit, I can start making some jam! The mikan marmalade I made with a colleague didn't turn out well, so it wasn't worth posting about. So hopefully my next try will be more successful.
All the best for the New Year Ron! x
A nice relief to hear a happier Stephanie and that you have learnt from your diabolical experiences in your previous position. Unfortunately it is life's method of building up your 'Hard Drive' with good and bad events and so the 'Wise Old Owl' can cope with many more problems that are on the horizon. Although your body has been wandering around the World for just over 20 years, your Memory Bank is probably twice that age and last years 'harassment' was an invaluable lesson???? Keep up the good work.
