Christmas Week

I had to work on Christmas Day, since the 25th isn't recognised as anything special over here. But after work, the week for me was all about food and festivities ;)

Christmas dinner was TGI Fridays, not KFC, the tradition Japanese Christmas go-to.
The next day, for lunch, I had motsu-nabe at Arizuki in the SKYTREE, nabe you know is hotpot, and the motsu is basically cow entrails, which was  flavoursome but had an interesting chewy texture...
For dinner, Chicago-style pizza at Devil's Craft, accompanied with a microbrew, and followed up with pecan pie. The rest of the week consisted of takoyaki, more pizza, and sushi.
Alongside all that eating, we did bowling, karaoke and more karaoke, card games and board games.

My wallet needs a break. I need a detox. New Year's week will be a quieter one. Last year, I hiked up Mount Takao to see the first sunrise of the year, this year, I am determined to take it easy, and start the year off in a more relaxed manner ;)
