Kuroyama, Saitama

Yesterday, I organised an easy hiking trip to Kuroyama in Chichibu mountains in Saitama for my hiking club. There were patchy drizzlings of rain, and temperatures were around the mid-twenties, which made for comfortable hiking conditions. Unfortunately because of the weather, we weren't able to get a good view of the Chichibu mountains at the highest point (770m), but the Kuroyama waterfalls made up for it with their mysterious Goonies-esque atmosphere.

Afterwards, we hit Kuroyama Onsen before being taken to a "proper" izakaya (Japanese pub) by a club member for some beer and real izakaya fare which I have to agree was right proper ;)
