Honitayama

I went hiking today, in the rain, on me lonesome, but it was just the thing I needed to start off my trekking training.

Route:
Hatonosu Stn 鳩ノ巣駅 > Kobutakayama コブタカ山 > Honitayama 本仁田山 (1225m) > Okutama Stn 奥多摩駅. Distance: approx. 9.2km. Duration: 4-5 hours.

The combination of rain and mist gives it a sort of eery look, right? From Honitayama, the only way to go is down or retrack, and for an extra-cautious ankle-watcher like me, going down took a lot of concentration and... there was 2-hoursworth of it.
