The Week

Gateball is so much fun! It's similar to croquet, and doesn't require grass or the use of a flamingo. The rules (or what I could fathom from one game) are pretty simple.  Players are divided into two teams and each have a ball and a mallet. The first/ or quickest team to go through all the gates and hit the 'jack' wins.

Photos were posted of my Deedara dance team, of which I'll post up soon, but no videos, so I've come to the conclusion that we were obviously a load of tosh. Anyway, we celebrated our efforts with an enkai yesterday at a Chinese restaurant. The food was nice, though more like Japanese food rather than Chinese. The drinks were kind of strong, but so yummy!

The next day, on Saturday, I felt somewhat tired from the enkai, but went to work to attend the school's 30th anniversary celebrations.... well more like listening to a couple of hours worth of speeches, it was not the most interesting thing ever, but it was amusing to watch the other teachers nodding off and fishing while they were at it. Anyhow, we have a day off on Monday in compensation, and I got to grab some onigiri.
