I visited Kamakura 鎌倉市 in Kanagawa Prefecture 神奈川縣, and had a look at the temples and shrines, walked along the trail from Kita-Kamakura 北鎌倉站 to Hase 長谷車站, before taking a look at the Daibutsu 鎌倉大佛 and taking the electric rail to Kamakura.
There are so many things to eat in Hase and Kamakura! I scoffed down a taro and vanilla ice-cream, and balls of konjac 蒟蒻 cooked in soy sauce on a stick... I didn't know it was konjac until I bought, I've decided that I don't really like the stuff. If it was used to make a sweet fruit jelly, that's okay, but though it doesn't have any nutritive value or any taste of it's own, the Japanese like to use it to add texture to their cooking.
