After hearing how menial and repetitive the Tokyo Orientation was, I was pleasantly surprised to find most of the 2-day training quite useful and interesting.The weather was seriously hot and humid, over 30 degrees celsius. I spent most free time wandering the streets of Shinjuku trying to look for a grocery store, but was unsuccessful.
The only time I went out during the day time in Shinjuku was to try some Japanese food. We decided to try soba noodles in soup with crunchy bits as a lunch set accompanied with fried pork cutlet rice and vinegared greens. It was delicious, here's a pic:
