I'm usually quite an optimist, hardly anything fazes me, but today I had a rare moment.
I worked into the early hours to change the inner tube in one of my tyres, never done it before, so of course it took longer than it should. Consequently, I didn't get any assignments or reading done. With lack of sleep the next day, I attended a rearranged appointment with Halifax, only to find that all the advisors were in their weekly Tuesday meeting. If that's the case, why the hell did they book me in at that time. In the end, I had to wait 40-minutes before being seen, by the time I sorted out the banks, there wasn't enough time to do anything before rushing to uni. I had wanted to use the spare time to adjust the gears and saddle, and perhaps catch up on some reading. I was feeling almost tearfully frustrated.
Wanted to go to the library, but was treated suspiciously because I had forgotten to take my student pass. The last straw was when I tripped, and my bike fell and dislodged the chain. It took me more than 2 hours to get home. By the time I got home, I was spewing words not suitable for children's ears.
There's just nothing like it, I've never had such a bad day. Consecutive occurrences, all bad luck. ... I'm tired.
