It finally came through the post, the piece of paper saying that... I am now a fully qualified Early Years Professional Practitioner (EYP)!!!
The position is not very well-known as yet, but the English government are gradually pushing it towards the spotlight. By 2015, every nursery and children's centre in Britain are required to employ an EYP. An EYP is trained to specialise in children aged 0-5 years old, and are there to lead and support colleagues in their practice. It's supposedly equivalent to a primary/secondary's Qualified Teacher's Status, but is only relevent to educational institutes that cater for children up the 5 years old.
