Time vs Change

Ever thought about changing careers or just trying a different line of work? Or perhaps your current job or studies are just something to tide you over until you've decided on a stable route into the future?

I'm wallowing in one of those pools of thought right now.

I've tried teaching, and I enjoyed it, and it's something that I will definitely come back to, but... I have this insistent feeling nagging at me to try something else.

Being a paramedic has perked my interest... something that's completely unrelated to my experiences and qualifications. However, being a qualified paramedic takes 3 years, so I'll have to think about it, anyway, I've until next year to decide.

My answer is yes to both your questions in the first paragraph and that thought is still lurking strongly in my head, although I feel more focused now!

I'll say if you're really interested then maybe you should go for it. If you're going to regret studying it or not studying, it then you might as well study it! :P

Snap... I'm kind of wallowing in the same pool :(

I'll say the same as Shabby... you don't want to look back in 5 years time and regret not trying something. 3 years is a long time, but you'll find out whether its for you or not hopefully before that.

Good luck!

Thanks for your comments you guys! I'm thinking about it, and the truth is, I'm not so keen to stay another year at home here. However, the NHS offers great opportunities with paid training, so moving out may be financially possible! But Japan is calling me too...
