Easter (Day 1)

Today was the start of my Easter break, and I started it off with a trip along the Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail 龍躍頭文物徑 in Fanling, New Territories, also stopped by the Fung Ying Seen Koon, a Taoist temple, on the way.

The trail covers five walled villages, six 'un'-walled villages, as well as quite a few traditional Chinese buildings and structures. More information can be found at http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/.

The trail leads into some isolated parts of Hong Kong, and shows you a part of Hong Kong that you would otherwise not have seen if you had stayed in the urbanised areas. It's a great walk, but I don't recommend this walk to people who have limited Chinese language skills, unless of course you are accompanied by someone who is. The trail is not properly mapped or signposted, and if it is, it's usually just in Chinese, therefore if you lack a sense of direction, take someone with you who is, or avoid this trail altogether.

Okay, that's my share of the promoting done. Photos will be uploaded soon. Goodnight!
