It's been exactly one year now, since I left for Hong Kong from the UK... gosh its gone by so quickly, and so far I don't regret coming here. I have seen and done many things I wouldn't have done if I had stayed in the UK... and I've developed a fetish for hiking up mountains.
I've also started to learn Japanese! About time really... but unfortunately the teacher isn't a native Japanese, and he teaches using Cantonese as the medium, ah well, at least I'm learning Japanese AND improving my Canto at the same time... and so far in the first lesson I'm not struggling... we'll see how things go...
June's really been a busy month for me at work, what with me having to sort out 8 English plays with my K3 classes (5-6 year olds)... and man are some of those kids soooo bl**dy freakin' frustrating... but wahey, 3 more to finish up, we're working on a tight schedule here with the deadline being this Thursday, and then the video clips have to be cut and primmed in preparation for Parent's Day on Sunday. At least, my extra-curricular classes are nearly over, and I have a day off on Tuesday cos it's the Tuen Ng Festival!
... and I think I'm in love.
I met her at school, and she is soooooo cute!.... Don't get the wrong idea, she's a new student attending the nursery. Her name is Kiyomi, she's half HK-Chinese and half-Japanese, 2 years old, has big eyes, is good-natured, loves cuddles, speaks Japanese, Canto and English, and smiles like an angel *Eeeeek, I'm melting....* ...*sob*sob* she's only here for 3 weeks... my little angel's flying away... yes, I think I've got it bad, if I ever have a child, its got to be a Kiyomi #2. Yeah, I know, teachers aren't supposed to have favourites, but since I don't teach her anyway, I'll hug her all I want.
Ah-hum... anyway, nothing else to report, except that I think I'll go and eat some lychees after this post.
